I am a youth minister and every smumer our high school students take a week long trip, either mission or conference, to some location in the U.S. We usually coordinate an early morning run before we start daily work or activities, or it may even be in a city on the way to where we are going. For instance, we stopped in State College, PA on our way to Philadelphia and a group ran around the Penn State campus. A lot of our students are very active in sports at school and this is a good way to tie together their physical well-being and their spiritual health. Sometimes it's hard to wake up for a run after sleeping on a church floor for 5 hours with no air in 95 degree weather! (Posted on 5/22/12)
